Paint Protection Film: self-healing film for the panels stone chips hit first.

Front End Film

That huge windscreen starts where a normal bonnet would still be going, so the panel in front of it is short, steep and constantly peppered. Film over the bonnet, bumper, guards and mirrors keeps the leading face tidy. About two days in the workshop. Separate guides cover Honda and Ford.

Falcon Door Wear Pack

The falcon doors lift kids in over the sills day after day, and school shoes do not care about paint. Film on the sill tops, apertures and lower door edges takes the scuffs so the panels do not have to.

Rear Arch Guard

A heavy SUV sandblasts itself: the tyres carry more load, pick up more stone and fire it straight into the rear arches and lower quarters. Film on those leading edges keeps the quarters clean, which is the first place a fussy buyer looks.

Whole Car Film

Seven seats of family life on the outside too. Every painted panel wrapped in self-healing paint protection film, ten year warranty against yellowing and cracking, about a week in the shop. The car does school duty, the film does the worrying.

Gtechniq Ceramic

Bird droppings, bug splatter and sticky little fingerprints wipe off a coated panel with half the effort. Gtechniq ceramic hardens the surface against chemical etching and keeps the white and midnight paints looking freshly washed for longer.

CoolVue Cabin Tint

All that glass makes a Model X bright and hot. CoolVue is Defcon‘s flagship film: metal free, legal shades and serious infrared rejection, fitted to the side and rear glass so the third row stops feeling like a greenhouse. You will find the same detail for supercar protection and the Porsche 911.

Detailing For Family Cars

Weetbix in the seat rails is real. A full interior and exterior detail brings a hard working Model X back to delivery condition, and it pairs well with film or coating going on while the car is already with us. There are dedicated guides for Ferrari and the BMW M cars.

I got coating done on my car. Unfortunately they missed a patch on the bonnet in the middle where they couldn't reach (lol). Now I have a rectangle area where it collects dust more than the rest. And rain water doesn't slide as well as the rest. EDIT: They have fixed the patch 🙂 They fully deserve 5 star for their promptness and great customer service.

Can you film the panoramic windscreen?

PPF is for paint, not glass. The windscreen stays as Tesla made it, though we can treat side and rear glass with Defcon tint and fit Crystal Shield film to glass roof panels on other models.

Do the falcon doors make installation harder?

They add apertures and seals a normal SUV does not have, so edge wrapping takes longer on the rear doors. It changes the labour, not the result, and we quote it upfront.

Will tint affect the phone key or cameras?

No. Defcon films are metal free, so there is no interference with the phone key, keycard or connectivity, and camera views through glass stay clear at legal shades.

Is a car this heavy harder on film?

The film does not care about kerb weight, it cares about stone strikes, and a Model X generates plenty. Heavier cars are exactly where self-healing film earns its keep.
