How Dark Can You Go in Victoria
Front side windows must pass 35 percent of visible light in Victoria, rear sides and rear screen can go darker. We carry every legal shade and will tell you plainly when a requested combination would fail a roadworthy. That goes for new arrivals like GWM as much as established badges.
Heat, Glare and Interior Fade
UV does the slow damage: cracked dashboards, faded leather, chalky trim. Heat does the daily damage to comfort. A quality ceramic film addresses both, and the difference on a January afternoon is measured in degrees, not marketing. Cars that live outdoors cop it worst, whether that is a Ford Raptor on a driveway or any other make and model parked in the sun.
Old Tint Removal and Re-tints
Bubbled or purple film comes off with heat and patience, including the adhesive that stays behind on the demister lines. We remove, clean back to bare glass and refit in one visit.
Fitting, Curing and Warranty

Front side windows need a minimum of 35 percent visible light transmission. Rear side windows and the rear screen may be darker on most passenger vehicles. Windscreens take no tint below the visor band. We fit to these limits by default.
Leave them up for two to three days after fitting so the adhesive cures against the glass. A light haze or tiny moisture pockets in the first week are normal and clear on their own.
Dyed film like 3M Color Stable blocks light and UV at a sharper price. Ceramic films such as 3M Ceramic IR and Defcon CoolVue also reject infrared heat, so the cabin stays measurably cooler in summer traffic.
Yes. We either tint the roof glass or fit Defcon Crystal Shield, a clear protection film that cuts heat soak and guards the glass against stone strikes. Crystal Shield keeps the factory look, which most owners prefer.
Bubbling, peeling, cracking and colour change are covered by the film manufacturer, and our workmanship is covered by us. Warranty terms are given to you in writing at handover.
