Tesla Model 3 Paint Protection

Tesla Model 3 Paint Protection in Melbourne

Melbourne’s commuter EV of choice cops commuter punishment: the Eastern and EastLink every weekday, shopping centre car parks on the weekend. Tesla paint runs thin and soft, a reputation the Model 3 largely earned, so bonnets and bumpers show sandblasting early. Film stops the damage before the first chip lands. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book your Model 3 in.

Full Front PPF

The package most Model 3 owners choose. Bonnet, bumper, guards, mirrors and headlights disappear under self-healing film, with precut patterns for both the original shape and the Highland facelift. Two days and the commute stops costing paint. The same work is set out for supercar protection and the Porsche 911.

About That Soft Paint

Independent testers keep measuring Tesla clear coat on the thin side, and owners keep finding swirls after one bad wash. Paint protection film is the only fix that actually stops chips; coatings help with everything else. The same work is set out for Ferrari and the BMW M cars.

Ceramic For Soft Paint

Soft paint swirls easily, so the less you touch it the better. A Gtechniq coating keeps dirt from sticking in the first place, which means fewer and gentler washes, and a Pearl White that still looks wet. You will find the same detail for Mercedes and Audi.

Glass Roof Film

The Model 3 roof is one big pane of glass and January knows it. Defcon Crystal Shield cuts the heat and UV load coming through, so the cabin cools faster and the aircon pulls less range on hot days. Separate guides cover Toyota and Mazda.

Commuter Grade Tint

Defcon tint takes the glare out of a stop start commute and the heat out of a car park afternoon. Metal free construction means the phone key and every antenna behave exactly as before.

White Interior Sense

Tesla‘s white seats shrug off more than people expect, but blue jean dye is their known enemy. Interior protection through our new car protection package seals the seats before the first pair of new jeans gets in.

Contact Point Film

Door edges chip on car park pillars and the boot ledge cops gym bags. Film on those contact points, plus the door cups, keeps a three year old commuter presentable at trade in time.

Every Model 3 Variant

RWD, Long Range or Performance, the paint is the same and so is the fix. Our Tesla paint protection overview compares packages across the range, and Mitcham station is a five minute walk if you drop the car and train it home.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

Why does my Model 3 chip so easily?

Thin clear coat and a low bonnet in a country full of coarse chip roads. It is a known trait, not bad luck, and film on the front half deals with it for the life of the film.

Does the Highland facelift change the patterns?

Yes. The nose, headlights and bumper are different, so Highland cars use their own precut patterns. Both versions are stocked, both take about two days for a full front.

Is PPF worth it on a commuter car?

Arguably more so than on a supercar. A commuter does the kilometres that cause the damage, and resale on a Model 3 depends heavily on presentation because buyers can pick from hundreds. Film keeps yours the tidy one.

Can you protect the white interior too?

Yes, interior protection is part of the new car package. The white upholstery cleans well but dye transfer from dark denim is its weak point, and sealing it early prevents the slow blue tint.

How should I wash the car after film?

Two weeks of no washing while the film cures, then normal washing is fine. Touchless or careful hand washing beats brush car washes, which is true with or without film.
