4WD Paint Protection

4WD Paint Protection in Melbourne

A HiLux or Ranger that actually leaves the bitumen comes home with bush pinstriping: the fine scratch haze that scrub and branches drag down both flanks. Film stops it, and the right film shrugs it off entirely. We fit clear, matte and textured PPF to 4WDs at our Mitcham workshop, including Bushwrapz kits built for exactly this abuse. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to talk through your truck and your trips.

Bush Pinstriping Defence

Tea-tree and mallee scrub score paint in exactly the panels film protects best: doors, guards and quarter panels. Self-healing paint protection film pulls light scratches out with warmth from the sun, so the sides stay presentable trip after trip.

Bushwrapz Kits

Bushwrapz is film designed for Australian off-roading: thicker than standard PPF and available in matte and textured finishes that suit a work truck better than gloss. We supply and fit kits patterned for HiLux, Ranger, LandCruiser and Defender.

Bonnet and Bull Bar Film

Corrugations turn the vehicle in front into a gravel launcher. Film on the bonnet, bull bar tops and lower doors takes the chips that would otherwise rust on a work vehicle. Painted steel bars benefit as much as the panels do.

Matte and Textured Finishes

A matte or textured wrap changes the look and hides the honest wear a tourer picks up. See our colour transformation options if you want the whole truck done in one finish rather than patch panels. The same work is set out for Tesla and EV protection.

Front End Package

Bonnet, bumper, guards and mirrors in self-healing film, the same package we fit to road cars, sized up for a 4WD front. About two days in the workshop and the highway commute stops sandblasting your duco. You will find the same detail for the Tesla Model S and supercar protection.

Full Body Film

Every painted panel covered, with a ten year warranty against yellowing and cracking. For a LandCruiser that tows to the Cape and back, it is the difference between patina and paint at trade-in time. We have written the same guidance for the Porsche 911 and Ferrari.

Ceramic for Easy Cleanup

Red dust and beach salt rinse off coated paint instead of bonding to it. A Gtechniq ceramic coating will not stop a branch, but it halves the wash-down time after every trip and keeps UV fade at bay.

Utes That Work Weekdays

Plenty of the 4WDs we film are trade vehicles Monday to Friday and tourers on the weekend. Film on sills, door edges and tub rails handles ladders and site gravel as readily as scrub.

Fitted in Mitcham

All 4WD film work happens at our Cook Road workshop in Mitcham, where big panels get the space and clean air they need. Pricing is fixed and the ten year film warranty applies whatever you drive.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

Will film really stop bush pinstriping?

Light scrub contact, yes: the film takes the scratch and self-heals in the sun. A solid branch strike can still cut through, but the film sacrifices itself instead of your paint and a panel of film is far cheaper than a respray.

Gloss, matte or textured for a 4WD?

Gloss disappears on the paint, matte tones the whole truck down and textured finishes hide wear best on work vehicles. We have samples in the workshop, easier to pick in person than from photos.

Do you film accessories like bull bars and flares?

Painted bull bars, colour coded flares and bonnet scoops can all be filmed. Raw plastic and heavily textured surfaces do not hold film well, so we check fitment on the vehicle before quoting.

Which 4WDs do you see most?

HiLux, Ranger, LandCruiser and Defender make up most of the bookings, with patterns available for each. Anything else with panels we can measure, we can film.

Can I wash the truck normally after filming?

Yes, once the film has settled for a fortnight. Pressure washers are fine kept back from the edges. After a beach or mud run, rinse salt off promptly like you would anyway.
