Subaru Paint Protection

Subaru Paint Protection in Melbourne

Subarus get bought for gravel roads and snow trips, and the Outback and Forester spend more time on unsealed surfaces than most SUVs ever will. That is exactly the driving that peppers a bonnet with chips. Liquid R films and coats Subarus at our Mitcham workshop, from daily Crosstreks to WRXs in WR Blue. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to work out the right coverage for how you drive.

Front End PPF

Self-healing film over the bonnet, bumper, guards and mirrors. The run up to the snow at Buller peppers a nose with grit and salt spray, and film takes it instead of the paint. Details at paint protection film.

New Car Package

Film on the impact panels, Gtechniq ceramic over the body and interior protection, done in three to four days from delivery. The new car protection package suits a Subaru you plan to keep.

Gtechniq Ceramic Coating

Ceramic gives WR Blue the depth it deserves and makes bug removal after a country run a thirty second job. Coated paint also sheds the mud film that gravel driving leaves behind. You will find the same detail for the i30 Sedan N and Kia.

Outback and Forester Gravel

Unsealed roads sandblast the sills, lower doors and arch leading edges. Film on those zones is the difference between a tidy five year old Outback and one with bare metal speckling along the rockers. The same work is set out for Tesla and EV protection.

WRX and BRZ

Cars that get driven properly chip in predictable places: nose, arch fronts and sills. We film those, and owners doing track work at Phillip Island usually add coverage ahead of the rear wheels. We have written the same guidance for the Tesla Model S and supercar protection.

Wear and Tear Pack

Boot lip film matters on a Subaru. Dogs, skis and camping gear all cross that panel constantly, and the pack also covers door edges and door cups for daily wear. We have written the same guidance for the Porsche 911 and Ferrari.

Window Tint

Metal free Defcon films fitted to side and rear glass only, well clear of the EyeSight camera zone on the windscreen. Legal shades that keep the cabin cool without upsetting anything. See window tinting. There are dedicated guides for the BMW M cars and Mercedes.

Wheel Ceramic

Gravel dust and brake dust combine into a stubborn coating on alloys. Ceramic on the wheels turns that into a rinse job rather than a scrub with a wheel brush.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

What should I protect for gravel driving?

Front end film first, then sills, lower doors and arch leading edges. Those zones take the spray your own tyres throw, and they are where unprotected Subarus show wear first.

Is WR Blue hard to repair?

It is a distinctive colour and blending a repair to match takes skill, so panels that never need repainting are the cheapest option. Film keeps the factory paint intact.

Will tint affect EyeSight?

No. EyeSight cameras look through the windscreen, and windscreen tinting is not legal or offered anyway. Our films go on side and rear glass and change nothing about how the car sees.

How do I wash the car after coating?

Low pressure rinse, quality shampoo and a clean mitt. No brush washes. Full instructions come with the car, and the coating makes the whole routine faster than before.
